Bushka's Kitchen Launches Line of Gourmet Freeze Dried Meals
Nov 1 2018 San Francisco, CA: Bushka's Kitchen believes everyone should have access to healthy, filling meals no matter where, when, or what you are doing. This belief is what inspired Deana Del Vecchio, longtime backpacker and avid outdoorswoman, to launch a line of healthy and delicious ready to eat freeze-dried meals. Bushka meals stand out from other dried food options due to flavor, texture, and wholesome ingredients.
“Consumers have become accustomed to opening a pouch and seeing a lump of unidentifiable ingredients that reconstitute into a meal that has little depth in flavor or texture. We are changing that with our products. When you open one of our pouches, you can immediately identify an apple or a Brussels sprout - which is how food should be!” says Del Vecchio.
Bushka meals feature wholesome ingredients such as quinoa, wild rice, and chia seeds. “All of our meals are made in small batches in our San Francisco kitchen. We chop, cook, and freeze-dry our ingredients and then hand package each pouch,” says Del Vecchio. “This obsession with quality and detail allows us to produce the absolute best possible meal-in-a-bag experience.”
While Del Vecchio says they are currently targeting the outdoor industry, they've seen a growing interest from busy professionals who are on the go and are seeking a convenient, healthier meal to enjoy in the office or on the road.
Bushka's Kitchen currently has four meals on the market with plans to launch additional meals and a snack line.
