As a fellow picky breakfast eater, I totally get that and I'm always on the hunt for good breakfast ideas as I really struggle with eating in the morning. So, naturally, I was thrilled when Katie mentioned that she was working with fellow female bloggers to create a list of their favorite breakfast meals!
Because of our move, I'm thrilled to say we've also joined SF Made. SF Made is a non-profit that works directly with local manufacturers within the 7x7. I recently shared a blog onhow important keeping manufacturing localis to me, so joining an organization like this is directly aligned with Bushka's mission!
This Friday, March 29th, Bushka's Kitchen will have a vendor booth at the Noriega Night Market. From 6 to 9pm, we'll be selling our gourmet freeze dried meals! Come stock up on your adventure food! Our meals were recently reviewed by Mara, the blogger behind Right Kind of Lost. I've had the pleasure of "digitally" getting to know Mara over the past few weeks, and I was thrilled to hear how much she enjoyed our freeze dried Zesty Zoodles and Hearty Harvest.
I'm hit with a deluge of questions when I discuss how Bushka meals are made. Many people are surprised when I explain that our freeze dried meals are actually made in house - by us - from A to Z. Meaning, we source our ingredients from both farmers and local distributors; we scratch cook all the ingredients into meals; we own our equipment and freeze dry the food in our commercial kitchen; and finally, we hand fill each pouch to make the individual meals. I'm not going to lie... it's a lot of steps (and a lot of permits!)
An overview of how to eat a Bushka freeze dried meal! Introducing the Bowl Bag! No longer worry about whether or not your spoon can reach the bottom of the pouch or about your hand becoming gross and sticky (yuck!) With the second tear notch, you can reduce the bag height and turn the pouch into a bowl.
Whether this is your first backpacking trip or you are a seasoned wilderness adventurer, wherever your journey takes you, bring Bushka freeze-dried meals with you.
