Feeds two! Cinnamon spiced and everything nice! This isn't your regular ol' rice pudding! We've taken rice pudding and put our little twist on it, combining warm spices, real Vermont maple syrup, and brown basmati rice; this hearty combo is topped with tart cranberries for balance.
Dessert is served by adding 10oz of boiling water to the pouch. Enjoy!

I found the water amount recommended was a bit too much. Turned this into more of a rice soup which wasn't really easy to eat. The flavor would have been great in my opinion if there were not cloves in it. They really overpowered the other spices and just kind of screamed Thankgiving. Some people may like it, but the flavor of this just isn't for me.
Made this rice pudding, and could not eat it. 10oz (1.25 cups) of water was WAY too much - it ended up being a soup with rice floating in it. And 3 minutes (heck, even 5 mins) Is way too short a cook time. The rice was crunchy and uncooked, even after 5 minutes. Last, the taste: all I got was super-sweet Crabtree and Evelyn soap with a touch of anise/licorice flavor. All in all, this was an edible crunchy rice soup that had to be packed out and tossed. Bummer.
I love the Sweet and Tart combo. Smells like a holiday pastry! Made it hot for breakfast and it was yummy warm, then packed up the leftovers and had it as a cold snack during a backpack in the Anza Borrego Desert. I like meals that taste good either way. a nice option for cold camping with no stove.
This is great, I really enjoyed how flavorful this was. It's a delicious breakfast or even a nice treat. It's got all warm flavors. It's a tad on the sweetside, so it satisfies that craving!! It's smells Incredible!!
I really appreciate the non-dairy ingredients in here and that it’s made with brown rice. I normally try to avoid things like white rice and dairy in normal day-to-day life and that can be very difficult while backpacking. I love the overall flavor combined with the cranberries. I will definitely bring this to future camping trips.
