No cook delicious lunch

This was such a refreshing change on the trail! I love that it is plant based and can use cold water. It’s delicious, filling, but not too heavy. Definitely keeping this in the rotation!

Flavorful!!

Just tried the lentil lunch. My first reaction was WOW! The flavors are perfectly paired. There’s enough for me for two meals easily. Even my husband liked it and he’s not a fan of lentils. Love that it only takes 6oz of water making our supply last longer. I think we’ll make it a side dish and share an entree with it as it is very filling.

Don't expect mushy lentils

On one hand I like that the lentils are firm, on the other I feel like most dishes with lentils are mushy and that's what I was expecting. The lentils are more on the al dente side if I were to describe them. The flavor is a bit strong, but the apples and bell peppers cut through the seasoning. I like this dish when I have limited space or need a bear cannister as it folds very flat and takes up minimal room. Not my favorite entree from bushkas but it's still very good.

Strikeout on this one

I'm vegetarian and a big fan of the Zesty Zoodles and Chia Morning. Unfortunately this lunch was a major disappointment. I followed the instructions to a "t" then I waited, and waited, and waited. These never seemed to hydrate adequately. Fortunately I was on a roadtrip with a cooler so I popped them in there and tried again a couple hours later. Nope, still under-hydrated. I gave up - not wanting to risk a sick stomach from undercooked lentils. I won't buy this one again. Even if they were hydrated the strong taste of dill and bell pepper were a bit too overpowering for my taste.
