Everyone deserves authentic and delicious Italian food — even in the wild or on the go. This savory, no-hassle meal combines the pure, rich flavors of slow-simmered San Marzanos tomatoes, red bell peppers, green onions, espresso-salted Bison, and hearty quinoa with the perfect amount of crunch (cooked al dente). Rounding out the dish are the essentials of Italian cuisine: basil, parsley, oregano and garlic. Mangia bene!
To eat, add 12 oz boiling water to the pouch. Enjoy!

Packaging/portion size review: I'm loving the actually reasonable portion size of the single serving backpacking meals and the weight savings associated with it, so 10/10.
Actual food review: As others have mentioned this meal is much lighter and fresher than other backpacking meals I've had, and I really loved not feeling bloated/bogged down post-dinner as I do with larger, heavier meals. I would recommend maybe adding a little salt (depending on your taste preferences), but otherwise the flavors were phenomenal. Rehydrated great! Overall, highly recommend!
All of Bush's products are very tasty and I know that they are full of great quality ingredients. I love the stuffed pepper with Buffalo and the shepherd's pie with venison very good probably some of the best freeze dried foods I've experienced. However the downside is they are somewhat expensive and the shelf life is limited compared to other products on the market. I understand pricing is in conjunction with quality and ingredients are what limit the shelf life. Overall I give it 4 stars as it is a great quality product just not one I personally am able to buy on a regular basis because of price and storage time.
Delicious filling meal! Light and easy to re-hydrate. One of the best back country meals I have had. Highly recommended.
Delicious and filling meal whether you're on the trail or on the road! Easy to cook, and stays nicely hot in the pouch. Always my go-to!
